Larita Webb, MPH, PhD
Larita Webb Taylor is the founder and owner of Webbmark Greetings, which encompasses a greeting card business and health promotion company. At Webbmark Enterprises, is a lifestyle coach and Master Trainer for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Diabetes Prevention Program. As a lifestyle coach, Larita has focused on delivering the National Diabetes Prevention Program in private and public worksites. In the past she has served as a health coach and worksite program manager for the CDC's National Healthy Worksite program. She loves to inspire people to be their best, and is passionate about health promotion.
Currently, Larita is a doctoral candidate in the Social and Behavioral Sciences program at the University of Memphis School of Public Health, where she conducts research addressing health behaviors that contribute to health disparities, including tobacco use, substance abuse, breastfeeding, and stress management. She has published several scholarly articles on these topics. She earned her BA in Psychology from Vanderbilt University in 2003, Graduate Certificate in Cross-Cultural Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary in 2004, and Masters of Public Health from the University of Memphis in 2009. She received additional training as a youth specialist from both the Urban Youth Initiative and Every Nation School of Campus Ministry, while working as the Program Director and lead health educator at the Youth Life Learning Center. She is a licensed minister and a member of a number of national and local health organizations. She lives in Memphis, TN with her husband Delano Taylor, and they are awaiting the arrival of their first child.
